David Harewood is tired of being mistaken for Idris Elba

British actor David Harewood has expressed his frustration with being mistaken for fellow British actor Idris Elba. 

Harewood, best known for his roles in Homeland, Blood Diamond and The Night Manager, posted on Twitter that he was going to get a T-shirt to help myopic fans realise he is not, in fact, Elba.

Seriously thinking about printing up some T shirts with the words "I am not Idris Elba" on the front and "Try Spec-Savers" on the back..

When followers responded that the pair, who have a six year age gap (Harewood is older), look nothing alike, Harewood responded: "I hear all you ladies and Man crushers out there screaming that I look nothing like Idris. To which I would reply... "I F----- KNOW!!!"

Elba, who is also on Twitter, is yet to respond. 

In July, grime artist Stormzy shared his disappointment on Twitter that an Irish newspaper had confused him with footballer Michael Omari, using a photograph of the musician to illustrate a sports story. Stormzy posted: "I don't find none of this funny btw  don't wanna sound like the party pooper who missed the joke."
