Is Gwyneth Paltrow wearing a terrible wig, or is that her real hair?

What’s weird is that I think it’s her real hair. How does she get her hair to do that? It looks like an actual helmet. Like it has hard shell – you could knock on it and it make a “thump” sound. She must have used three full, organic hairspray bottles worth of junk to get it so stiff. Or is it a wig…? Here’s the hair from another angle:

Is there a hairpiece involved? Something keeping that one part up? Ugh. Anyway, this is Gwyneth in London, attending some event for Louis Vuitton. I find the dress boring, and the placement of her breasts unconvincing. From recent photos of her, I know she really stuffed her girls into that dress and there’s probably quite a bit of tape and prayer keeping them up that high. The Daily Mail thinks she looks “elegant”. Of course, I believe they use that word to describe Phoebe Price, so it gets thrown around a lot. Here’s more:

Gwyneth Paltrow has never been one to shy away from a risky style choice. Whether she is baring her legs in tiny shorts and skirts or showing off her figure in the now infamous sheer black dress she wore to the Oscars in 2002, the 37-year-old actress is no stranger to fashion faux pas.

So changing her hairstyle and opting for a daring keyhole dress to wear to the relaunch of the Louis Vuitton Maison store on London’s Bond Street tonight was a mighty risk to take. But it certainly worked, as the Iron Man 2 star looked elegant, chic and sexy in the minidress and Louis Vuitton heels.

And while it may not be noticeable to her millions of fans, Gwyneth recently revealed she had to work hard to put on weight after toning up to reprise the role of Pepper Potts in Iron Man 2.

Playing a country singer in new movie Now Love Don’t Let Me Down, Gwyneth was told by the director that she would need to bulk up for the role.

She explained: ‘Basically, I play a country western singer and I had been in great shape for Iron Man 2 and the director said, “I don’t want you to be so muscly”. So it wasn’t so much gaining weight as [a means of] just trying to soften up the edges a bit and not work out so much. I gained probably like 10 pounds. I tried to gain more, but I think I was also working so hard and such long hours that, you know, it was offset – my Bridget Jones attempt!’

However, Gwyneth’s weight gain was barely noticeable as she joined stars including Elle Macpherson, Gemma Arterton, Daisy Lowe and Kirsten Dunst at the event.

[From The Daily Mail]

Because Gwyneth is not capable of doing an interview without talking about her weight or dieting, preferably both. CB and I were talking about this during Iron Man 2’s promotion, when literally every day there was at least two new Gwyneth interviews in which she was talking about her weight and diet, with her exercise regimen in the mix too. I really think she has significant body image issues.

Speaking of, Gwyneth appeared on a British cooking/food challenge show several days ago. The Sun covered her appearance – guess what she talked about? Diet, food… and how much she drinks.
