Miranda Lambert Breaks Down Singing to Little Girl with Cancer

Miranda Lambert is a favorite of most country music fans. The wife of Blake Shelton always comes across as a very down-to-earth and relatable woman, which just adds to her appeal. Her talent is overwhelming, and her humanitarian personality makes her so likable. Her hit song, “Over You,” is always an emotional song, and she recently broke down while singing the hit.

The song was written by Lambert and her husband. The song is about Shelton’s older brother who died in an automobile accident when Shelton was only 14-years-old, and the song has a very tremendous feeling of sadness for Lambert, who broke down singing the song to a cancer patient recently.

Over the weekend in Corpus Christi, the singer couldn’t get through the rest of the song and had to stop singing. Brooke Hester, a 7-year-old fan of Lambert’s with stage 4 neuroblastoma was in attendance. Lambert got down on the stage to hold the hand of the sick child while she sang the song. The little girl wore a pink hat and face mask, and she touched Lambert so much that the singer had to stand up and wipe tears from her eyes while she allowed her fans to finish singing the song on her behalf.

The beautiful little girl has been facing a losing battle with the devastating cancer, and her family is trying to make her life as wonderful as they can. Her mother has created a shop that is a not-for-profit foundation that makes and sells hair bows and accessories for little girls battling cancer who have lost their hair. The goal of the company is to bring a smile to the faces of the little girls who are facing this devastating journey. All proceeds are given to cancer research in hopes that there will eventually be a cure for his horrible disease. Brookesblossoms.org is a foundation that is worth checking out.
